One of Buffalo’s jazz treasures, Bobby Militello will pay homage to his longtime musical collaborator, Dave Brubeck. During his 30-year tenure in the Dave Brubeck Quartet, Militello recorded over 20 albums, performed with almost every major orchestra in the U.S., Canada, and Europe, and appeared in many International jazz festivals, television, and radio shows.
For this special concert, Militello will lead his world-class quartet in a performance of jazz standards and songs composed by Dave Brubeck. The Bobby Militello Quartet, formed in 2014, has performed concerts at the Monty Alexander Jazz Festival as well as at many of the top festivals, events, and venues around Western New York.
The concert will take place in the intimate, club-like atmosphere of the Kenan Center’s Taylor Theater located behind the Kenan House. Ample free parking is available. Tickets are $20 general public; $15 Kenan members.
