$60 per dinner package includes a virtual link for Jazz at the Taylor: An Evening at home with Mary Ramsey & Friends and dinner for two from Shamus Restaurant. The virtual jazz concert link will be sent via email on Friday, February 12 by 4pm. Dinner is for takeout only and has to be ordered by Saturday, February 13th. Pick up will be on Sunday, February 14 between 3-6pm at Shamus Restaurant at 98 West Ave, Lockport, NY.
Jazz at the Taylor Presents: An Evening at Home with Mary Ramsey & Friends. Mary Ramsey has been the lead singer and violin/violist for the folk rock band 10,000 Maniacs for over 25 years. The critically acclaimed band continues to tour and record, playing to sold out audiences coast to coast. Mary is one of a rare breed of musicians whose talent and interests know no boundaries. She’s at home in the string section of a symphony orchestra, on stage in a theatrical production, serving as a studio musician, teaching her students and with her band members Stu Weissman, Marc Rosen and Ed Croft exploring the Great American Songbook of Jazz Standards, as well as Gypsy Jazz and Latin Jazz. Two arch top guitars and an upright bass provide the perfect accompaniment for Mary’s elegant vocals and the unique way that she brings her classical training on violin and viola into the jazz repertoire.
